Management System Integration
The Management Responsibility Sections of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 contain similar requirements and many companies are finding it useful to combine their upper level Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental policies into a single system. This integration allows management to focus on similar implementation issues and to consolidate resources at various levels within the organization.
QSI's Integration Approaches will systemically and systematically create compliance with requirements. While the words 'systemically' and 'systematically' seem very similar, they are not. 'Systemically' refers to having an integrated management system in place to allow for the correct documentation of a management structure that would promote compliance to regulatory requirements. 'Systematically' refers to the planning, documentation, implementation and monitoring of the operating procedures to ensure compliance.
While this may sound simple, in practice it is not, because the manner in which a management system is documented and deployed depends greatly upon the organization's level of understanding of management systems and regulatory requirements, including the level of necessary independence of the entity monitoring the compliance.

Most Approaches for achieving Certification or meeting Benchmark/Compliance standards are designed for a 9 to 12 month period. We are also experienced in supporting businesses in achieving Certification in longer or shorter periods of time if there is a need. (Shorter periods require a higher level of commitment and resources.)
